We at AFHK often hear parents say, "My child has not experienced trauma"...yet is that accurate? What is trauma and how are children affected by it? And how is this relevant to adoptive/foster families and the professionals who work with them? Join us for a stimulating podcast discussion by Creating a Family. We will listen to the 50-minute podcast as a group, and discuss along the way. Podcast speaker is Sue Badeau, who along with her husband is the lifetime parent of twenty adopted children and foster parent to more than 50 children. They are authors of the book "Are We There Yet: The Ultimate Road Trip Adopting and Raising 22 Kids". Sue has worked in the field of child welfare for over 30 years and has developed curriculum and training for social workers and parents.
