How do we raise kids to be resilient and self disciplined?  We will be listening to a Creating A Family podcast with guest speaker Dr. Robert Brooks, Psychology Professor at Harvard and co-author of Raising Resilient Children and Raising a Self-Disciplined Child.

• When do you accept a child’s behavior and when do you try to change it?

• The idea of “goodness of fit”

• Is “helicopter parenting” detrimental to raising resilient children?

• Is spanking as a discipline technique detrimental to children?
• The importance of scheduling time to have fun with your children.  

This event is open for all parents and caregivers, waiting and prospective parents, adult adoptees, professionals and students.
